From the moment I woke this morning, I intuitively sensed that something had happened. The first thing I saw in the news was that whatever mankind presently believed about Horoscopes and their Signs, was being challenged and was shifting current-day perspectives...
Using my "Starry Night Enthusiast" Program, I took a look from my location, seeing what all the fuss was about from last night and this morning. Ophiuchus had made its presence known to a larger population. This led me to wonder which constellation Ophiuchus precedes, so I quickly made a movie, using the same program mentioned earlier (actually, I made a few of them...). This is what I saw:

Green Gardening
While toying with the idea of "getting down and dirty" on Earth Day's 40th Anniversary, I decided that I would plant an organic garden again- something I've done in the past and am looking forward to once again.
So, on April 22nd, 2010, Earth Day was commemorated by the planting of seeds...and all the rest that now comes with that decision. Some shortcuts were taken, given the fact that the decision was made this year, rather than last...
To date, the "Compost Cake" has been mixed and has now had its "wet/liquid" ingredients added- Thanks, Mother Nature, lol! (i.e., wet from 4 days of moderate rain and light snowfall); the rain barrels placed under the drain spouts are full and overflowing, and the demarcation of the garden is set on fallowed ground, perfect for growing since the soil has been at rest for about 5 years now...

March Over Already!
It's amazing how quickly this first quarter of 2010 has flown by. The month of April is only hours away, and it appears that gardening will start sooner than later, since we aren't expecting a flood this Spring. That, in itself, is a great relief. It was a great feeling to sort through seeds, deciding what's to be planted this year...it's been few years since a garden was tended and cared for, so I'm looking forward to playing in the dirt!
